ZenTerm 1.5 rebuilds workspaces around the way I use coding agents. A single window can now hold multiple workspaces, each with its own tabs, layout, title, worktrees, and agent sessions. The new sidebar shows everything running across the window, including which agents are working, waiting, done, or idle. Select an agent and ZenTerm takes you directly to its workspace, tab, and pane. Herdr was one of the reference points that pushed me toward this design. Their team has done excellent work on organizing and tracking coding agents inside the terminal. ZenTerm takes that general idea in its own direction as a native macOS terminal built on libghostty. In this video: Multiple workspaces inside one window The new collapsible workspace sidebar Agent status across every workspace Direct navigation to the agent that needs attention Worktrees nested under their parent workspace Keyboard control for the full sidebar Updated workspace switching and close behavior Why Herdr influenced the direction without becoming the design ZenTerm is open source and built for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later.
